My Favorite Apps

My top ten iphone/ipad apps:

  1. Evernote - Manages all my 'todos', notes, and receipts. The best feature is automatic OCR of a scanned image. This makes scanned text pages searchable. In the premium version of Evernote you can share folders with others.
  2. 1Password - Maintains password, licenses, and more! Automatically syncs between systems using Dropbox.
  3. GroceryGadget - Tracks my grocery list. Two people can share and update the shopping list. You can create several lists so that they are all independent of each other or combine all your items in one list and mark which store(s) to use for each item. Two people can also be updating the list while shopping!
  4. Dropbox - essential in the tablet/iphone world to store and exchange documents.
  5. Gas Buddy - Find and report gas prices.  I heavily use this app when traveling!
  6. Gas Cubby - A simple app to track gasoline purchases and car maintenance.
  7. Key Ring - Keep all those pesky plastic tabs on your key ring. Bring up the app, select the store and it displays the barcode. Just hand your phone to the cashier.
  8. Color Splash - Takes a photo and turns it black & white. You your finger to colorize portions of the photo.  This app is just for relaxing fun! You can also use an image that is already on your camera roll.
  9. Scanner - read a barcode and find out prices of items via google.  Now you can check if those sale prices are really a bargain.
  10. ColorSnap - Take a photo and then select a color from the photo. Sherwin Williams tells you the paint color and two coordinating colors.  More fun that a coloring book!

There are many more apps that I use but these get used the most. What is on your top ten app list?
